In 2024, people watched 188 billion hours on Netflix globally, the company revealed last week, a 3% growth year-on-year. Spotify had reported 190 billion streaming hours, up 15%. You can say these are not apples-to-apples: Spotify has a popular free tier, plus you can multitask listening more easily than watching.
