Hernan Lopez, founder of Owl & Co, a management consulting firm servicing media, tech, and the attention economy, is best known as the founder of Wondery (acquired by Amazon in 2021). A trailblazing entrepreneur, he revolutionized podcast storytelling with critically acclaimed hits like Dr. Death, Dirty John, WeCrashed, and Dying for Sex, which were later adapted into high-profile TV series. Hernan's vision helped define the modern audio landscape, pioneering immersive, cinematic storytelling that captivated millions of listeners worldwide.
Before launching Wondery, Hernan scaled and led Fox International Channels, a $3 billion division of Fox (now Disney), overseeing the launch of hundreds of entertainment and documentary television channels, production studios, and digital extensions across the globe. He also served as CEO and later board member of National Geographic Channels International, shaping its global expansion and content strategy.
A recognized thought leader, Hernan has spoken at Cannes Lions, CES, and SXSW, sharing insights on media trends, digital transformation, and the evolving attention economy.
